Backyard Dreamin’

portofino-pavillion

After spending the past several days in beautiful Los Angeles, I immediately contracted the “I need a backyard” blues.  I can’t wait to have an outdoor space!  Every decor store this past month has held outdoor furniture sales.  I couldn’t help but dream about decorating my future backyard.  I mean look at this Portofino Pavillion from Z Gallerie!  I would love to host a backyard extravaganza and make this a focal point.  It comes in grey and white too!

My dream backyard would have an eclectic yet feminine style.  I believe the outdoors should be bright and colorful!  I love so many of the collections out this season especially from West Elm, Z Gallerie and Pier 1 Imports.  What’s dangerous is that all these stores are less than 15 minutes from my home!

Tillary Outdoor Sofa from West Elm, $500 – $2,000

The Tillary collection at West Elm is my favorite outdoor sofa.  The modular design makes it possible to shift and flip the backrests creating different arrangements and lots of comfort!  A grey L-sectional would serve as the foundation for my backyard layout.

1. Swingasan Chair from Pier 1 Imports, $299 // 2. Trompe L’Oeil Birdhouse from Anthropologie, $68 // 3. Blue Cadiz Stacking Chairs from Worldmarket, $100 // 4. Sunkist Reversible Rug from Lulu & Georgia, $37 – $110 // 5. Ixtapa Yellow/Aqua Lounge Chair from CB2, $229 // 6. Casablanca Lanterns from Z Gallerie, $8 – $50 //  7. Laurel Pillow from Crate & Barrel, $40.

Above is my outdoor decor wish list.  I have always wanted an aqua and green color scheme for a balcony or patio.  My garden would be filled with tons of pink flowers for contrast!  I’ve always loved a little Moroccan influence hence the rug and lanterns.  It’s also why I love the idea of a tent or canopy.

Have you decorated your backyard or other outdoor space recently?  Or maybe you still dream of having an oasis and garden to call your own like me!

Also shout out to my friends Kate of Striped Cat Studio, Kory Woodard (she designed my blog btw) and Christie of Besidesign for their new endeavor Postmark Society!  It’s going to be an awesome blogger pen pal program through Postable so join the fun and sign up!

All opinions expressed in this post are my own and not of any brands mentioned.  I have not received compensation to speak positively on any product, I honestly and simply love what I’ve chosen to share!

I’m dying to have a backyard…we don’t even have a patio! I’m really loving all of this, but that first picture of the black and white cabana is kind of amazing. Pretty sure that would be my dream yard!
