Another resolution for this year is to learn photography, well enough so that I feel comfortable investing in a DSLR. It’s definitely a wonderful skill set for blogging!
During the holidays I took tons of photos! I captured as many details as possible, played around with Photojojo lenses and my canon. It was our first “married” holiday season so it was important to document properly!

I totally agree that learning photography can help with your blog, but you don’t have to share photos by yourself to be a great blogger. I had two point and shoots before I got my DSLR, and I practically taught myself the basics of the hobby.
Joy Cho has some great tips for photography in her book Blog Inc. She says to take several pictures, experiment with composition, and learn to edit. :)
Thanks Kory! Joy’s book is amazing! I have so many post its falling out of there it’s hard to use all her advice.
